This game should literally only be on consoles. Like Jesus dude devs are a mess and I mean no offense just the direction taken with games now, there is such a lack of. now this a game that feels like it should have ONLY been on console comes to PC see this game all the time and it doesn’t even feel like a PC game. These posts were done in like 2016 it’s now ending 2017 so I’m taking it this game will never be on consoles? Lol I don’t get devs must be this new era we live in porting apps to pc or making games that don’t even belong on the pc for them (red tides as an example a game that screams mobile yet it started on PC first) then u have other games on mobile that feel like they should be on a PC etc. Some significant optimisations were added for the Steam version when I was first getting it running well on an Xbox One earlier this year for example. We'll work on the console versions more before the end of Early Access only because additional optimisation work required to get those running well will benefit the Steam version also. Right now our focus is 100% on the Steam version. It will still be a pretty awesome package for the price on console without those features though. If the console versions do happen then they almost certainly won't have the multiplayer or the level editor as the work involved in getting those features implemented and more importantly thoroughly tested and maintained would be too much for us to invest for what it would be worth. Additionally, on PC, there is a built-in level editor for players to create their own chaotic levels. That's the current plan and it has been approved for both consoles, but we aren't officially confirming this until the Steam version is closer to completion and we have more time to spend working on the console versions to make final viability determinations. This is a game all about completely customising your experience, which is why on PC it supports the Steam Workshop in which players can already download more than 8,000 items. These include a roguelike mode called Beneath and a challenge mode titled Arena. There are a ton of game modes to choose from. The player must utilise any of the 200 weapons, as well as their environment to take down their opponents. Paint the Town Red is a first-person brawler set across vast sandbox environments. “ Paint the Town Red’s lightning-fast, gory, and tactile combat makes it such a blast to play The simplistic voxel-based graphics present the game as clean and sterile at first glance, but once the fists start flying, all of the viscera and fleshy bits really add some colourful details.” Matthew Carr ~ South East Games Image Credit – South East Games What Is Paint The Town Red? Co-founder of South East Games, Matthew Carr, spoke a little about what it is like to play Paint the Town Red. Now the game is ready to release out of Early Access and into version 1.0. Since Paint the Town Red launched, it has evolved quite significantly, transforming from a voxel sandbox game into a “deeply-customisable action experience”. The developer, South East Games, has only worked on one other title, Probably Archery, which released onto Steam in 2014. In that time it has gained overwhelmingly positive reviews, with 96% of overall Steam reviews being positive. Paint the Town Red is a first-person brawler that has been in Early Access since 2015. Paint the Town Red, the first-person brawler from developer South East Games will finally leave Early Access and release on console this July.
